CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Levy Mwanawasa Medical University, in partnership with Dental Capacity, invites applications from suitably qualified Zambian Dental Surgeons for Fully Sponsored Master’s Degree Programmes in the following dental specialties:

Fields of Study

  1. Restorative Dentistry

  2. Endodontics

  3. Orthodontics

  4. Paediatric Dentistry

  5. Prosthodontics

  6. Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology

  7. Periodontology

Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship is fully funded and shall cover:

  • Tuition fees

  • Accommodation

  • Monthly stipend

  • International travel (where applicable)

  • Other approved study-related expenses

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all the following requirements:

  • Must be a Zambian citizen

  • Must be 30 years old or below at the time of application

  • Must have successfully completed an approved Dental Internship Programme

  • Must meet the academic requirements for admission into a master’s degree programme

  • Must demonstrate willingness and readiness to serve as a Lecturer at Levy Mwanawasa Medical University upon completion of studies

  • Must be willing to sign a bonding agreement of two (2) years of service for everyone (1) sponsored year of study 

Post-Study Obligations

Successful candidates shall be required to:

  • Return to Zambia immediately upon completion of studies

  • Serve at Levy Mwanawasa Medical University in a teaching capacity

  • Fulfil the bonded service period in accordance with the scholarship agreement

  • International training programme

  • Offered through Levy Mwanawasa Medical University in collaboration with Dental Capacity

Application Requirements

Interested and eligible applicants should submit the following:

  • Application letter clearly stating preferred field of study

  • Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • A one-page motivation statement justifying the application

  • Proof of completion of internship

  • Recommendation letter from the institution where the first degree was obtained

  • Copy of National Registration Card (NRC) or Passport

  • Any other relevant supporting documents
