Dear Esteemed Clients and Stakeholders
As we embark on a new chapter in the story of Levy Mwanawasa Medical University (LMMU), I am optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead. It is a great honour to serve as the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of this prestigious institution a beacon of hope, innovation, and academic excellence in Zambia and beyond.
LMMU has, in a short period, positioned itself as a leading centre for medical education, research, and healthcare training.
As we move forward, my focus will be on consolidating these gains while charting a transformative path that is responsive to the evolving healthcare needs of our country. We will prioritise strategic partnerships, expand our research footprint, strengthen faculty capacity, and embrace innovation to produce a highly skilled and ethical health workforce.
Central to this vision is a commitment to student centered learning, community engagement, and the pursuit of excellence in every aspect of our academic and administrative work. I call upon all stakeholders, students, staff, alumni, government, and partners to walk with us on this journey. Together, we will build a resilient, globally competitive institution that not only trains professionals, but also shapes the future of healthcare in Zambia.
