GRANDEUR VISIT TO LMMU

Grandeur Visit To LMMU

The Levy Mwanawasa Medical University (LMMU) today hosted pupils from Pestalozzi Educational Centre who visited the University for a Career Talk to mark the School’s Career Week.

Our important visitors, ranging in age from six to 12, where received by LMMU Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academics, Prof. Yusuf Ahmed and Head of Department for Biomedical Sciences, Mr. Mox Kalumbi, among other Lectures.

The future health professionals interacted with Lectures from all the six faculties of the University and were taken for a conducted tour of the state-of-the-art University.

At the beginning of the visit, half of the pupils wanted to be doctors whilst the other half wanted to be nurses. None wanted to pursue any other health career.

At the end of the tour, there was definitely change of little minds, with others now wanting to pursue other health professions such as Aaesthesia, Ophthalmology, optometry, Radiology, Physiotherapy, Prosthetics and orthotics, Environmental Health and others.
