LMUTH Receives Kudos

The Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital (LMUTH) has been commended for its improved health care services, especially in Maternal and Child Health.
The accolades were given by Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary for Technical Services, Dr. Kennedy Malama during an impromptu visit to the hospital on Friday, December 20, 2019. Dr. Malama observed that the number of maternal deaths has drastically reduced at the hospital in the past three years.

The PS encouraged members of staff to continue working hard and to be respectful and courteous to patients and the public. “I will not hesitate to withdraw my accolades if I receive any negative reports about members of staff at this hospital. For now, I am very happy with the services here, please keep it up”, he stated. Dr. Malama later toured the hospital and freely interacted with patients and members of staff.
